Very fast, reliable, and cool
Strengths: Fast stable works great
Weakness: not as fast as the latest chips
At this point, this CPU can be had for a very reasonable price, giving you 90% of the speed of the latest very expensive dual core chips. It's very reliable, and runs fairly cool. I don't know about the heat sink/fan it comes with, since I'm using the Thermaltake V1 for optimal cooling with least noise.

AMD Athlon FX-62
Strengths: Powerfull 64bit Processor with Dual Core for Added Performance.
Weakness: Nothing that I can think of right now.
I purchased this process and matched it up with an Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe motherboard with 4 gig DDR2 800 Mhz (PC2-6400) memory, ATI X1950 Pro 256mb Video card and a Seagate 500gig SATA harddrive. This thing ROCKS!!! I replaced my AMD 3200+ with this and I should be set for a couple more years now. I run XP Pro, Linux (64 bit) and Vista Ultimate (64 bit) edition on this system. I can run serveral...

amd processor review
Strengths: fast fast fast
Weakness: Have not found any problems!
Best in it's class for the buck! Finding this item on pricegrabber for a great price was the catch. It is pretty cut and dry with this product. It is fast. My machine burns through games, and video editing.

Simply The Best! There Is No Equal!
Strengths: First AMD Athlon 64 FX Dual Core Processor to have the new Socket AM2 platform for the latest, high-end motherboards, as well as able to use the new SDRAM DDR2 architecture, for future upgradability.
Weakness: ONLY works with SDRAM DDR2 Memory and is NOT downward compatible with the DDR(1) type, so be prepared to get new RAM modules and throw out your old ones. Hard to find many motherboards that have AM2.
Unlike the old Socket 939-pin AMD FX Dual Core processors, this one uses the new Socket AM2, to provide better stability, higher clock rates, & future upgradability. The 3-year warranty is fairly generous, ancluding its technical support, just so long as you use their Fan/Heatsink that came included with the CPU. As for the Fan, I was worried it'd be loud, even with the Cool-'n-Quiet etch....

FX-62 Processor simply the best
Strengths: Dual Core 11X Multiplier. Price finally coming down makes entry to the FX AM2 processors not as difficult to handle financially. Much faster than my old single-core pentium 4 3.4 ghz processor.
Weakness: Nothing major you get what you expect from it. Performance is great, heatsink is a bit of a pain to put on.
Dual Core 11X Multiplier. Price finally coming down makes entry to the FX AM2 processors not as difficult to handle financially. Much faster than my old single-core pentium 4 3.4 ghz processor. I cannot complain about anything in particular as I said early kind of difficult to clip on the heatsink but overall there is no reason to be upset with this unit, considering how quickly it has dropped in...
