Good Value
Strengths: affordable, quiet
Weakness: small(ish) buffer of 8mb. clearly not as fast as a WD or Seagate. Reliability still unknown
Using this in a RAID 1 configuration. System is stable & quiet. I am happy with performance for the price paid. Having not used many Samsung HDD's before, I'm slightly concerned with the reliability, but only slightly. Dell has started to use Samsung HDD's so they must be at least halfway decent.
edit: going on 14 months now, and no problems whatsoever.
