outperformed 7900gs
Strengths: it does everything that I asked and wanted. why waste $500-$700 for the 8800s? This fits me perfectly for less than $150. Scored almost 6000 on 3dmark06 (along with my e6400 chip).
Weakness: Like all other cards, runs hot and loud when overclocked and I don't have money to buy a crossfire version to run crossfire with.
now I just need a crossfire edition to see if two of these would be competitive. This is a very very good card and the price has come down since the release of the 8800s. About the same price with my other 7900gs but this one is superior. Also note that this card doesn't take up an additional PCI slot like most other cards.

radeon x1900 gt video card
Strengths: this card really does do it's job. It makes all games look awesome,it has vivo, hdcp
Weakness: non so far
I was using this card for about a month. I thought of
getting Geforce 7900 GS but this deal came up with
$50 rebate I couldn't pass.For the game performance it
is very close to 7900 gs, looking amazing on my dell 24"
monitor. Probably easy to overclock since
it uses R580 GPU with about 25% of functionality
disabled. So far no complains.

X1900GT Video Card
Strengths: Good price for the speed, and the ability to run DX9 for Vista.
Weakness: Not nearly as good as some of the other video cards out there.
This video card is a very good bargain for average users. I don't recommend this for any hardcore gamers as they are sure to be disappointed. Don't get me wrong, this card has great performance, in fact according to some benchmarks its on par with the 7800GTX(But keep in mind that was release a couple years ago). Bottom line, it supports DX9 so you can get the cool Aero features in Vista, but...

Connect 3D ATI X1900 GT
Strengths: Fast, Vista Ready, Top of the line.
Weakness: Loud Fan, Only come with one dvi-vga adaptor, 12 pixel pipeline only
I'm very happy with the performance of this card for the price. Plays company of heroes all settings high smoothly at the low resolution I use (I have an old CRT monitor). Can't speak for high resolution performance. Really excellent for my type of games
