Best bang for the $$$$Strengths: Inexpensive, powerful and low noise... Weakness: None so far I got my card 2 day and it's great so far. It runs Halo at 1400x900 with all settings turned up and doesn't even whimper out during heavy battles. As far as fan noise, I don't get any whatsoever. Upgrade your drivers people, it will help. System is a 915 Pentium D with 1 gig of DDR 5300, SB X-FI and all these other lil goodies that I will not name. I would reccomend this card to hold you over...

Nvidia + Evga produce another fantastic low/midrange...Strengths: 1. Excellent price. 2. Better than expected performance in today's PC games. 3. Very low power consumption. 4. Small card size. Weakness: 1. Stock heatsink/fan cooler is very loud and does not ramp down. My previous video card was an Evga 6800 PCI-E 256MB, which had served me well for over a year and a half. In that time many great PC games have come out requiring a better performing video card to play at my standard resolution of 1280x1024, with the quality settings I use. With a little research I picked the Evga 7600GT PCI-E. And I've been pleasantly surprised. The price point is very good,...

Great video card for less than $100Strengths: Played World of Warcraft at high resolution. Great performance for new brand card at less than $100. Fan does not run when running word, email or web browsing so it is really quiet. Weakness: Fan noise during game playing, but to be fair I think all stock fans are noisy. Ran somewhat hot in mid size HP stock case. Played World of Warcraft at high resolution and can see details not available with old 64MB card. Need to upgrade power supply to atleast 400w, 500w better. Fan does not run when running word, email or web browsing so it is really quiet. Card is mid length and fitted my HP case within 1/4" in length. Very happy with the price/performance of the card.

Excellent budget VGA cardStrengths: Run most games thrown at it (Not at the highest settings), performance, and most importantly the price. Weakness: Single DVI only. Budget card that should work for most users until Vista patch all their bugs and the 8 series card to drop in price in order to take advantage of DirectX 10. If you're really on a tight budget this is the card to get.

Good performace for priceStrengths: Good performance for the price. Not as big in size as some other cards. Weakness: None so far. Can run a lot of games without much problem. I did not want to spend much since directx 10 cards are out but needed something so this was a good buy. It was reasonably priced with a reasonable performance.

Great performance with good priceStrengths: 1. Great price for less than $200 2. Able to run most current games with 1024x768 3. Doesn't produce a lot of heat Weakness: 1. Packaging is cheap 2. Doesn't have dual DVI 3. Doesn't support Duallink 4. refresh rate is only 60 when running 1680x1050 This is a great price product with enough performance for most games. EVGA produces good product in general but nothing extra is provided. If you need something pretty basic then this will be a good choice for you. I run this with Windows Vista RC1 using Core 2 Duo E6400 CPU and the tester gives me 5.5 out of 6.0 rating. It is Vista ready.

This card cannot be beat on value for the money!Strengths: I am so impressed by the video card. At around $130, you get one heck of a deal and it is an excellent performer. Installation is a breeze and the card stays pretty cool. Run 2 for more performance! Weakness: None that I can think of. I upgraded from a ASUS GeForce FX5500 8X AGP 256MB card to this card. I really didn't think there would be much of a difference in some of the older games I play (like Delta Force Black Hawk Down). I was simply amazed at the change in the graphics quality. Before, I was only able to play BF2 on low settings, but now all of my settings are on very high. The same thing goes for SWAT4. BUY THIS...

Buy this card if you plan to wait for DX10...Strengths: Great card, not very expensive (With rebates off course) Weakness: Absolutely none My old NVidia 6800 couldn't handle any new games. So I went on to look for a good, yet cheap, video card. I know DX10 is just around the corner, so spending 200 bucks on a new video card is unthinkable. This card was on sale for about $100 including rebates so I decided to go ahead and get it. It plays everything flawlessly. Get this card if you're not prepared to spend $400 on a new video card...

Great Video Card For The Money!Strengths: Price performance and compatibility. Weakness: None so far. Bought this card to upgrade from onboard 128MB video adapter. It installed cleanly on my Windows XP Pro SP2 operating system and the nVidia drivers are compatible w/ all my applications w/ VGA monitor using full hardware acceleration. 1024x768 graphics are crisp. Card runs cool and adds minimal heat to my LGA775 Pentium 4 case environment. This card will also allow me to upgrade my VGA monitor to... Advertisement

Solid Mid-Range Video Card
Strengths: Relatively inexpensive for the performance, single-slot cooling, good performance for light-mid range gaming, variable speed fan is quiet
Weakness: Packaging isn't the best, but is sufficient to keep it safe during shipping. Only one DVI connection. eVGA's "step-up" program is useful if you upgrade your graphics card often.
I purchased this graphics card with the intention of installing it in a quiet, mid-range desktop and it has reached all my expectations, but for gaming on a budget, the eVGA 7600GT exceeded them. Surprisingly, it handles many modern games albeit without some of that high-end eye-candy. Although most 7600GT graphics cards are largely alike and stick to the original nVidia PCB spec, this card...
