This is the CPU that them Jive Intel fears.Strengths: Super fast even at stock speed. True AMD processesing (Intel wish it can have a cpu like this on their roster)! Weakness: Can only overclock to 5% on my new Asus M2V Motherboard but so what. Weakness none yet this CPU replaced my Athlon 64 socket 754 CPU single core. this 1 CPU is like 4 of my old CPUs. and an Asus K8N was replaced with my new Asus M2V. I can say more when i break it in some more.I'm thinking about getting a liquid coolant system just so I can overclock it higher.

Powerful processorStrengths: Multitasking, speed, price Weakness: limited onveclocking abilities Have been using it since January on an Asus Crosshair board. this processor hasbeen very solid and performing in an excellent speed all along. I recently upgraded to Vista Ultimate and just seeing the installation speed was enough :). For overclockers and tweakers: - This processor tends to produce massive amounts of heat esp when overclocked. the specs however says it runs close to 60C.... -...

Athlon 64 X2 6000+ Dual Core Processor (3GHz, 2x1MB,...Strengths: Great power at a great price Weakness: None at this time I put this processor with stock heatsink and fan on a Gigabyte GA-MA69G-S3H motherboard. Installed Vista Ultimate without a problem. Could not believe how fast I could install other software programs. I like to play high definition movies and this combo screams.

THE BEST Value for an AMD dual Core!Strengths: EXTREMELY fast, dual core, 64 bit compliant, plenty of room for gaming and future computing, and the "boasting" rights! Weakness: None so far. Has been very stable since I've had it and I use it to play Oblivion. I'm sure it will continue serving me well. I highly recommend this CPU for anyone looking for a value fast CPU especially for gaming. The included heatsink is pretty nice, though it is too bad that the fine print says that you void your warranty if you use any other heatsink or cooling product. Other than that, AMD has done another great job in this CPU set. I LOVE IT!

Overclocked and CoolStrengths: Overclocked easily, runs cool with stock sink and fan Weakness: Vista 64 bit did not recognize it. 90nm technology The processor is really fast. I can multi-task without any problems. Have this overclocked to 3.4Ghz. Super fast for video editing and games. Runs less than 40 degrees C on a full load. That is with the stock heat sink and fan. Great CPU. Totally worth the money. I would definitely buy it again. [Asus M2N32-SLI, AMD 6000+ Windsor, 4GB G.Skill DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800, XFX Geforce 8800 GTS 640mb, 2 WD...

Good Performance For The MoneyStrengths: Easy to install, runs stable and cool. Weakness: None. Running this CPU in a gigabyte M59SLI-S5 mother board installed in a thermaltake armor black case with no overclocking. Runs smooth and stable and I have no problems or complaints. Using stock heat sink fan with arctic silver. Have used AMD's for around 10 years and this one is the best I have used to date.

A WorkhouseStrengths: Cheap, Powerful, Unbetable Weakness: Wish there was an easy way to load both CPUs at the same time for a single threaded application I'd recommend AMD X2 6000+ to anybody as it is simply unbeatable. It's low price is worth every penny. It's really sad to see the other company is simply hiding some facts. Their $1000 worth best CPU can barely beat $220 AMD X2 6000+ in Sciencemark Primordia. The challenge is still on. AMD rocks!

Always AMD!Strengths: FAST. Stable. Reliable. Weakness: None at all. No big problems, no little problems, NO problems at all. I bought this 5 months ago when it was the fastest AMD chip available. I'm Very happy I did, and I had always scaled back from top of the line prices. If you'd like to boot windows right off the planet like Me, grab this chip. It boots win xp up in 30 seconds. I don't overclock. Why bother? I don't do games. Waste of time. I run a variety...

Marketing instead of progressStrengths: As quick as a 3 gig dual core should be. Weakness: Apparently a factory-overclocked 5000+ X2 from looking at processor wattages. These run WAY too hot for serious work (e.g., video encoding). Both of my X2 6000+ machines overheat. One runs at 60C, the other at 70C and I don't dare overclock. Going back to Intel after 15 yrs.

AMD is still the best without a doubt.
Strengths: Very stable at both stock FSB and at 295 times 11 over clock.
Weakness: None so far, still testing max over clock possible with air cooling.
This CPU was recognized and ready to run immediately with ASUS M2N32-SLI MoBo. Very fast and stable from install with stock HSF. Changed out to the Enzotech Ultra-120 and temps went way down at stock. Now over clocked 20 percent and still as stable as stock. Excellant CPU with very nice Level 2 cache. AAA+++
