Nice card if found at the right price

Strengths: HDCP for the HTPC crowd once HD-DVD / BlueRay drives come down in price.

Weakness: Not worth the $190 - $230 regular price this is normally found at.

Plenty fast for any DX9 games at native 19" LCD resolutions. Time will tell with DX10, although I don't game much. This is the version that is factory OC out of the box, so no tweaking is required. I found this at the right price of $156 after Manuf. / Pricebgrabber rebate, even less if you live outside of California. Doesn’t hurt that it came with a full version of COH including the DX10 patch...

XFX GeForce 8600 GTS Graphics Card

Strengths: DX10, Shader Model 4, performance is between a 7800GT and 7950GT card. Highest clocked 8600GTS on the market!

Weakness: PRICE mostly, 128bit wide memory bus limits performance.

Unless using DX10 users will not see performance gains if switching from a 512mb 7950GT card, infact they'll lose performance even at lower resolutions in some games... Price is simply to high for this card's capabilities, for just ten dollars more you can buy an 8800GTS and get 2-3x the frame rates at any given resolution.

XFX 8600 GTS triple X

Strengths: Great card for the money, that's why I'm running two of these! Stock 730Mhz!

Weakness: I can't say that I've found any yet. But it's no 8800 either.

I love these cards. Running in SLI mode I've found no weaknesses. I used the nVidia program to overclock just about everything and it's stable. I couldn't be happier, and would recommend using this card even without that. Very quick out of the box and is great for someone who needs performance without spending tons of $$.
