Good card!
Strengths: Good performance for the price!
Weakness: None really...OK, so it's not the fastest beast out there.
I bought this card primarily for general use in Vista and for playback of HD-DVDs (paired with PowerDVD Ultra 7). I'm not much of a gamer, so this card could be considered overkill, but it works great for me... and after rebate, it's pretty cheap (relative to some video cards out there, anyway!). XFX 8600 GTS overclocked
Strengths: heck of a difference in "seeing" a game,was it worth it YES would i go for the 8800 series ,i will hold off on that 'till more directx10 games out
Weakness: MUST get updates as soon as you put it in. Be Sure all old drivers are out from other video card
Very very happy with my purchase .Have read a lot about DX10 just wish that so much of it was Not contradicting in information ..some stories say that putting the card in sli 2X there is a Massive drop in frame rate. so read up on it that was the main reason i went with the 8600.
