Asus V9999GT/TD Graphics Card

I bought this Asus card for an AMD...

Strengths: Price compared to other 6800 Gt video cards.Superb graphics

Weakness: None detected.

I bought this Asus card for an AMD 64 3500+ system. Installation of the card went flawlessly. The card has played all my video games including, Counterstrike and the bundled Deus Ex without a glitch. Weakness: has only 128 MB RAM, when all other 6800 GT HAVE 256 MB

This card does save you about $60.00 over the PNY 6800 GT card but big deal. Asus 6800GT has 128 DDR-1 Ram that runs at 700 mhz PNY 6800GT has 256 DDR-3 Ram that runs at 1100 mhz (The math is simple the PNY Cards has double the ram and is 400 mhz faster for just $60.00 more) just spend the extra money and get a 6800 GT with 256 MB of RAM. dont wast your money on this card, to just find in 6 month...

PNY 6800GT has 256 DDR-3 Ram that runs at 1100 mhz

(The math is simple the PNY Cards has double the ram and is 400 mhz faster for just $60.00 more)

just spend the extra money and get a 6800 GT with 256 MB of RAM. dont wast your money on this card, to just find in 6 month you wish you would have took my advice. Games always seam to get bigger and need more ram, i don't think doom 3 will be the only game useing the doom 3 Game engine, so if they build more games on the doom 3 Game engine witch is a ram pig, some reviewers have state doom 3 would run best with a card of 512 MB, and that does not even exist at this time. don't be cheap spend the extra money, this card cost $315.99 dollars, JUST spend $60.00 more and get a PNY 6800 GT card they cost $375.00, you will be happer in the long run, and have peice of mind when newer more power games come out your card with 256 MB of DDR-3 ram that runs a 1100 mhz will handle it with no problems.

Strengths: Decent Performance

Weakness: 700MHz Memory bus when the 6600GT has a 1000MHz Memory bus. Save yourselves money and get the new 500/1000 Geforce 6600GT or the X700Pro or go up 50 dollars and get the true 6800GT

Bought this card under the impression that it would perform well in farcry but it fell well short of my expectations and would not recommend this to anyone playing newer games

Strengths: Geforce 6800 GT , Smart Fan with Blue LED Lamp

Weakness: 128 mb DDR 700 mhz Ram ( not important weakness )

Very good VGA , I replace it with a MSI Geforce 5700 256mb ( with VIVO ) the 3DMark03 Score changed from 3200 to 10200 !!! Also its score in 3DMark05 is about 3700 .I played DOOM3 and hadnt any problem . Its RAM speed is 700 mhz , other DDR3 RAMs speed is 1100 mhz , I think 700mhz speed is good when the DDR3 based Cards are too expensive .

Tried to coax this card into...

Strengths: Fast, easy to install, works great under Linux.

Weakness: Should have an 8x AGP to operate, noise, buggy driver at high res.

Tried to coax this card into operating a 1920 * 1200 mac 23" studio display panel. Card burned up after only one week. Attempting to contact ASUS. For high res stick with an ATI 9800.
