MX1000Strengths: Recharging Dock Station Laser Instead Of Blinding Red Optical Light On and Off Power Switch Underneath mouse Battery Life Gauge Weakness: No Access To Battery A/C Cord For Recharging Power I've had this mouse for about 25 days now and its nothing but great. The size of the mouse is quite big but ergonomically it suits my hand well. I've had other wireless mice before like the Microsoft Wireless Explorer. But that did not have a on and off switch like the MX1000. The best feature has to be the recharging dock station and laser instead of optical eye. When you need to simply recharge...

Logitech MX 1000 Laser Cordless MouseStrengths: Precise, 8 programmable buttons, battery meter, rechargable batteries that hold a long charge via USB or AC adapter, on/off button, long range (over 10ft). Weakness: Not as comfortable for left hand, but not horrible. Tilt wheel interferes with use of wheel button. Simply put, this is the best mouse on the market today. I think my strengths are self-explanitory. Several other reviews knock this product for petty problems that are easily solved. The mouse can be charged by either USB or the included AC adapter. I use maxthon browser, support for the back/forward buttons in my browser and other browsers can be achieved by setting the buttons as a "generic...

Logitech MX 1000 Laser Cordless MouseStrengths: Great smooth feel. Easy to install and program! Weakness: Can't access battery One of the best mice I have used! Major drawback of most wireless mice is that they give you very little warning before it needs recharging. The MX1000 features LEDs that light up and tell you the status of the charge at any time. Charge time is only 3-4 hours which gives you 21 days before another charge is needed. Plenty of buttons for programming (8)!

Logitech MX 1000 Laser Cordless MouseStrengths: Best Wireless mouse on the market, imediate response to movement unlike other wireless mice. excelent key programablility, very good for games. Charges in less than 4 mins and lasts for 3 weeks! Weakness: Expensive! Although its wireless it needs 2 wires. Picked it up for 60 bucks which was a pretty good deal for this mouse. I had to play around with it for a little while before I could get it to work right. The keys are easy to program and are great if you are a gamer. Charging it takes no time at all and it lasts forever. If you are just a person who does word processing and search the web theres no point to it. But if your looking for a precise...

Logitech MX 1000 Laser Cordless MouseStrengths: Tracking accuracy. Battery life. Weakness: Signal range. I had the base only about 4 feet away and signal was getting tracking errors(pointer spraticaly jumping around) Once I moved it closer worked perfect.

Logitech MX 1000 Laser Cordless MouseStrengths: Great responsiveness, works on just about any surface, rechargeable, tilt-wheel Weakness: Right-handed only Though I have not yet bought my own, I have had the chance to use one and it was the best mouse I have ever experienced. I own a Logitech MX700 that is near expiration and I am going to replace it with this one. As far as tracking on glass, the website never makes any claim of this sort, and it is not possible anyway since light just passes through. It can, however, track on shiny polished...

Logitech MX 1000 Laser Cordless MouseStrengths: A/C adapter a plus when your PC is powered down... (See comment) If the MX1000 charged on USB or PS2 port, then the PC would have to be powered up to charge the mouse. If you started a charge, then you would have to leave the PC up overnight, etc. I have a notebook, and I power it down. Many people power their systems down. A/C Adapter is REQUIRED for me. Just a thought, I am ordering the MX1000 today. Amazon is the best bet, and the best price (within $1).

Logitech MX 1000 Laser Cordless MouseStrengths: Lots of buttons. Available power LEDs. Tilt wheel. Precision pointing. Overall smoothness of motion. Weakness: BIG weakness: some major button functions (side scroll, zoom) don't work on Macintosh applications or browsers. Mouse software is spotty. quite heavy. I'm on a new Mac dual G5 with 2gigs of memory, running OX 10.3.8. I wanted to absolutely love this mouse. And I still like it very much, but as a Mac user, I must report that it has been a bit troublesome and I'm not sure the relationship will ultimately lead to marriage. Logitech Control Center software from the included disk didn't work, flat out. Downloaded (the same) version from the Logitech...

review adjusted due to improved performanceStrengths: it's awesome all the time! no more jumping after software upgrades! Weakness: pointer jumps all the time I edited my original review which was negative. Because after a few software updates, mouse is now working flawlessly. I bought a second one few weeks ago, for my twins pc I didn't even install the Logitech software this time, there is no jumping, I guess as they said the problem was with some hardware, apparently the problem was fixed on my pc with software update.

Logitech MX1000 Wireless Laser Mouse
Logitech, well known among gamers for their popular MX series of optical mice, has officially declared that “optical is obsolete” with the release of the MX1000 laser mouse. This is quite a claim, especially when you consider the obvious cost benefits of optical. Logitech claims that the new laser technology offers tracking power is 20 times more accurate than optical mice. Optical mice are... Top

Mouse round-up: Logitech MX1000 tested
Although regular optical mice have improved over the past few years, the laser equipped MX1000 excelled when testing it on a variety of surfaces. We randomly grabbed items such as sheets of paper, folders, glass, and even a t-shirt, and the mouse was still able to function. The mouse comes with a battery meter on the side that displays how much battery life is left, a handy feature that we would... TopAdvertisement

Logitech MX 1000 Laser Cordless Mouse
Strengths: Nice solid feel. Ideally placed buttons and very smooth multidirectional wheel. MX 1000 communicates as rapidly as a corded mouse, and without latency.
Weakness: Heavy for a mouse, but it feels solid. So it's all good. Shape suits only right-handers.
I own the MX500 and the MX700 and now the MX1000. The MX700 was great product and the MX1000 is even better. Here's the low down. "While the gain in accuracy does result in better overall user comfort, the difference is flagrant only for certain types of use. If you aren't an experienced, dedicated FPS player or graphics pro, or if you don't do retouching with Photoshop, the move to an MX 1000...
