Maxtor...Strengths: price Weakness: does get fragmented somewhat readily - more than WD HD's I've had in the past. Overall, this was a very good buy for me. I haven't had any HD crashes or issues. I did notice a little slowing down in the performance since adding more programs, but not much more that I had already anticipated. Advertisement

Strengths: VERY Fast & Quiet with Fluid Bearing Drive
Weakness: Hard to find
Fastest & most quiet drive I've ever owned and Maxtors Service is next to none. I've seen other computer with similar drives (not 6L040L2) run HALF as fast.
