Good performer for the dollar; card for the budget...

Strengths: Inexpensive compared to other 6600 GT, good performance, play most modern games at decent FPS.

Weakness: Hot, louder fan, overshadowed by GeForce 7600 line, AGP phasing out

A decent card for light or budget-minded gamers. Fan noiser than I would prefer. No software were bundle but the price is usually less than comparable 6600 GTs. PCWORLD rates as the lowest 6600 GT performance wise. The new 7600 makes this card less attractive for price/performance ratio.

eVGA e-GeForce 6600 GT Graphics Card

Strengths: Good video performance, HDTV outputs, great value

Weakness: Loud fan on video card

The eVGA 6600 GT video card is solidly built and gives great gaming performance. It is a great bang for the dollar card. Also, eVGA seems to be a great company with excellent customer support. The one thing that is annoying about this card though is the loud, tiny fan on the video card. Unfortunately, this seems to be a problem with pretty much all the nVidia 6600GT video cards out there in the...

eVGA e-GeForce 6600 GT Graphics Card

Strengths: Price vs. performance, HDTV output

Weakness: Runs hot, requires additional power connector

Unlike my older ATI 9600XT card, this card is able to recognize my Hitchi rear-projection HDTV, and produce a nice 1080i image. With the latest drivers from Nvidia, it is even possible to get rid of the overscan effect, so that the entire desktop can be visible on the screen. Half-Life2 also plays better than with my ATI 9600XT card, but I can still not enable all of the HL2 graphics features. I...

eVGA e-GeForce 6600 GT Graphics Card

Strengths: Better than the last line of cards for a decent price.

Weakness: Not the greatest card or the greatest price, and also needs a power molex.

I am pleased with this card. I upgraded from a geforce 4 ti 4200 and this card is a lot faster. This card isn't much behind the top end cards in most games today so it's probably the most bang for your $. Worth spending a little extra instead of getting a geforce 5xxx card or radeon 9xxx card since it is the newest technology.

Very Happy with Card

Strengths: This card is adequate. With a good processor, it can handle anything on the market. I bought mine shortly after they came out. As with all nVidia products, easy to OC. Cool Doom3 picture on hsf.

Weakness: It's probably not the best value out there in terms of performance/money (but fairly close..)

If you can't afford the $300+ cards, this is a great option. I can OC mine from 500/900 to approx 550/1000 and it still runs completely stable (3572 3DMark05). Oh, and just for the record, when I put this card in, I had to add another case fan--it does generate a lot of heat. The reason for only 4 stars--if you can afford the bigger cards, I would recommend you get them so that you can run...

eVGA e-GeForce 6600 GT Graphics Card

Strengths: -Great to play DX9 games -reasonably priced, $177- $20 rebate -bundled with 2 great games, Farcry & Call of Duty -HDTV output -Warranty 1 year but 1 extra year is free if you register the card

Weakness: -fan is pretty loud (can be fixed using gainward expert tool-dynamic fan speed, and enable temperature reading. google "nvidia forum" for some help) -Cooling is inadequate, 80C after 3d games

I first got the 6600GT card after waiting since November last year. Geforce 6600 GT AGP version really hit the spot for hard core gamer with not so hard core wallet. After reviewing tomshardwareguide, ars technica, firing squad and other credible hardware review sites, geforce 6600 GT comes out as the winner. The reason I chose eVGA is because it is reasonably priced, has lots of features, great...

Excellent Graphics

Strengths: Great card for the price

Weakness: Adds a significant amount of heat to the PC

A definite step up from a Ti4400. As a given, this card is not as good as a 6800 but for the price you cannot go wrong. Together with a good MB/CPU this card can handle any game out there. As I said for the weaknesses the card does generate some heat, but part of that may be caused by the 420W power supply that was installed. Overall I would recommend this card to anyone looking for something at...

Very good video card

Strengths: Faster than GF5700, 45FPS in FarCry with 8X FSAA and 16X AF.

I got this Video Card when my old PNY GeForce FX 5600ULTRA stopped working. I have a home built Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition (MCE) 2005 PC with a new EVGA GeForce FX 5700 Personal Cinema. So I wanted a video card that looks good for video, and that is fast (for HDTV). Well, when my GF FX5600 stopped working, I used my EXTREMILY BAD ATI Radeon 9200SE (SE for Striped down Edition)....

eVGA e-GeForce 6600 GT Graphics Card

Strengths: price

Weakness: no user manual

This card rocks. But make sure you've the supplemental power coonector attached (which doesn't come with your graphic card. Otherwise, PC will hang on again and again. In fact, I bought a XFX before but returned it for this reason. But the built in quality of eVGA seems not as good as XFX. But it works for me.

eVGA e-GeForce 6600 GT Graphics Card

Strengths: Fast, AGP, quiet fan. HDTV ready. VGA adapter on card.

Weakness: No video in.

I waited and waited for the card to come out and I finally got it. The difference in HalfLife2 is amazing. I upgraded from the built in GF4 440 in my Shuttle SN41G2. I just could not afford the 6800GT so this looked like the best bang for the money and I have not been disappointed. I was thinking about getting the XFX version but I don't have an LCD and so I wanted at least one SVGA output. Also...
