DFI nF4 Ultra-D Desktop Motherboard - nVIDIA -...Strengths: Fast, well supported, and flexible. Weakness: Not for the build-and-forget crowd. If you're willing to invest some time in learning how to really tweak your computer, this motherboard is unparalleled in terms of options. It can be a bit of a pain to find the just-right settings for your rig, but once you do, this motherboard screams. Perhaps best of all, their support forum at dfi-street.com is staffed by DFI employees and can answer almost any questions one may have about...

DFI nF4 Ultra-D Desktop Motherboard - nVIDIA -...Strengths: Highly overclockable supports high voltage BH-5 (up to 4v!) Great features Cool looks Weakness: Takes a while getting aquainted with all the features and overclocking options. sound card average. This is the BEST motherboard out there for you money. At $139 you can get everything you need to turn that athlon 64 to a beast. This is the best overclocking motherboard by far and my 3200+ athlon 64 Winnie is running 2600Ghz stable! WOW! If you're willing to spend some time to play around, get this board!

DFI nF4 Ultra-D Desktop Motherboard - nVIDIA -...Strengths: Mind-boggling array of options to tweak. Wonderful stability. Very overclockable. Quiet northbridge fan. The on-board features (e.g. Gb LAN, Firewire, USB ports, Audio...) are more than adequate. Weakness: None that I have yet encountered. Components (all new)- Antec SLK3700AMB case w/350W PSU This motherboard Athlon64 3000+ Venice Silent Boost K8 HSF 2x512 (1GB) Twinmos UTT RAM (TMII400) rated 2.5-3-3 MSI GeForce 6600GT Onboard sound NEC 3520A DVD Burner Mitsumi 7in1 card reader/floppy drive 200 GB WD PATA hard drive Setup for the board was great. Worked like a charm right out of the box. Of course, I did update the BIOS right...

DFI nF4 Ultra-D Desktop Motherboard - nVIDIA -...Strengths: Excellent for overclocking, nice layout (plenty of room for large HSF, etc.). Has a pushbutton on the PCB for power on and reset, nice BIOS features and dual PCIe slots. Weakness: Difficult setup. Overall a quirky board - I would recommend only buying top-notch components (expensive memory, video card, etc.) Odds are you will not get this working first time. If this bothers you DONT GET THIS BOARD. I read this same notice from many people and said - "ahh I can probably get it working in a couple shots." I'm not an expert but definitely not a novice, and spent the better part of a weekend just getting this board off the ground. If you don't think bringing up a PC for 12 hours is fun, I'd stay clear...

DFI nF4 Ultra-D Desktop Motherboard - nVIDIA -...Strengths: Very Powerful board. Gives you control over anything you'd need to overclock the board. I haven't tinkered yet with the overclockability, but from what I've seen it's teriffic. Weakness: Didn't work right when it came out of the box. But that really was no worry. Turns out the board defaulted to 2.6 volts for the Ram instead of 2.8. I changed it to 2.8, problem solved. I would definitley buy this board again. Not for the faint of heart but not something you should be intimidated by either. If it doesn't work right away try tinkering with Ram settings (I had to move my 512MB of PC4000 Crucial Ballistix to Dimm Slot instead of 1) and you should be good to go.

LanParty UT NF4 Ultra-D review. Profound Speed is...Strengths: Extremely fast, well-equipped, DFIs usual goodies. Weakness: Chipset is located under the video card, which limits the cooling options. DFI's slow-ish website and non-answering of support questions. A really great system board for gamers, this extremely fast and stable board didn't suit my needs well. It seems that the video editing software I use runs much better on a Hyperthreading equipped system. Perhaps a Dual-core Athlon 64 wold have done better, but they weren't available when I gave up and built a P4 system to replace it. If AMD's lack of Hyperthreading doesn't bother you (it won't...

LanParty UT NF4 Ultra-D MotherboardStrengths: High potential for great work UV Integrated Audio Weakness: High difficulty with working everything just right If you are not an expert or a computer genius, don't mess with this motherboard. It was ridiculous how much work it took to have everything cooperate with one another. The manual doesn't help much either. I have tried all combinations of setting up the memory, video card, and sound card, to no avail. After getting a headache, I had to UPS ship my entire computer to a relative to see if he has...

Not bad at allStrengths: Colorful, full of options, good layout Weakness: Buggy BIOS winflash I love the PCB UV reactive parts on this board. The layout is great, even with the xp-90 I could still get the ram in, even though it was a tight fit. There wasn't too much clearence between the two... The backplate could have been thicker and more colorful, and they could have used higher quality cables. After flashing the BIOS in Windows, and rebooting, Windows would not load. I had to reflash...

Life in the Fast Lane:New Boards for the Athlon 64
The LANParty UT NF4 Ultra-D comes across as an extravagant interpretation of the nForce4 chipset. On this board, DFI offers not only the usual features, but also two x16 PCIe slots. The reason for this is that the SLI boards and this "ultra" version share a common layout. This lets you operate two graphics cards, a feature called Dual Xpress Graphics . TopAdvertisement

DFI Ulra-D
Strengths: It's a DFI! You can even do a simple mod and have a SLI. Shh!
Weakness: Noob users
This board is awesome. It was built to overclock so it takes some know how, a lot of tweeks. But if you buy quality parts (no value rated stuff) it will work out of the box just fine. You just can't scimp on the ram or psu, why would you want to put lousy crap on the best motherboard you can buy. Give it quality and it will give you the absolute best OC you can get. I put 2 gigs of Mushkin Black...
