AMD quality............great priceStrengths: Fast & reliable proc. Typical AMD quality. Weakness: Heat & smallish cache. This is a great proc for the price if you are not willing to shell out the extra bucks for an X2. Seriously, how often do you burn a CD while doing 4 other things simultaneously?? The onboard L2 cache could be a bit bigger but I have no complaints. It may run a bit hot for some but you could always buy an aftermarket CPU cooler. Overall, a great buy!!!

good mid range cpuStrengths: cheap, 939 socket Weakness: not that fast If you are looking for a computer less than 700 dollars. THis is the your perfect choice for the cpu. IT doesn't go hard on your wallet but the speed is ok. If you have the bucks go for a higher model!

AMD Athlon 64 3500+ ProcessorStrengths: Price - Perfomance ratio Weakness: Hot running CPU, smaller 512KB cache Another AMD success. Every time I update or build new systems I go through another check to figure out where a good bang for the buck lies ... the last time I did, Intel and their P4 3.0E 800MHz FSB CPU was the winner, this time I chose the AMD Athlon 64 3500+, and I am not disappointed! 1MB of cache would be nice, and the only other thing that AMD could improve on, with these boxed package sets,...

AMD Athlon 64 3500+ ProcessorStrengths: Price, gaming performance Weakness: heat, 512M Cache I purchased this product with an ASUS A8N-SLI motherboard and couldn't be happier. The important part of this chip (ADA3500ASBOX) is that it contains the clawhammer core, which is the same as used in the 4000+. This allows for good overclocking, which I haven't done yet since the performance is fine, "out of the box". I wanted a 4000+ which is the best performance AMD Athlon 64 (yes better then...

AMD Athlon 64 3500+ ProcessorStrengths: Just a great all around 64/32 bit AMD processor. Weakness: NONE I upgraded from a AMD Athlon 64 Socket 754 2800+ to this Socket 939 pin 3500+ and there's more of a difference than I ever thought there would be. AMD has just brought out the best in the computer CPU field.

Great Processor for the money
Strengths: 64-bit technology, Great L1 Cache (Wonderful for playing games), Even the Stock Fan and Heatsink keep the processor cool (Mine never goes over 42 C), and the Price to Performance ratio great
Weakness: Old Technology (When I bought mine the technology was brand new but even today it's great for gaming), L2 Cache is not nearly as fast as the newer processors, not dual core
Overall I would say that if you are looking to build a good gaming computer that won't hurt your pocket and uses Windows XP this would be a serious processor to consider. But, if you plan to spend more than 500 dollars on all the parts, go with AMD Athlon X2 instead of this. If it weren't for the X2's on the market right now it would have been 5 stars.
