Athlon 64 3500+ - 2.2GHz Processor (2.2GHz, 512KB,...

Strengths: Fast processor for a reasonable price

Weakness: Can't think of any.

This processor is a great one for a reasonable price. It came with a heat sink and fan, as well as having thermal fluid applied already, which was really convenient, so there was no need to purchase a tube of it. Looks cool with the holographic AMD logo on the fan as well. Fully recommended.

AMD Athlon 64 3500+ Processor

Strengths: Incredibly fast, runs cool. Very stable.

Weakness: None

One of the best hardware purchases I have ever made. Don't even think about it, just buy it! You'll be glad you did. I am amazed at how fast this processor is. Combined with a N4 ultra motherboard and some PC 3200 memory, you won't have to upgrade again for a long, long, time.

Incredible performance

Strengths: Great overclocker & low heat production

Weakness: None so far

I just upgraded my system from an AMD Athlon 1.2Ghz Socket A. I bought this & an Asus Sli-Premium Mobo. I got this board after doing alot of research on it. I desided to go with this board for 2 major reasons 1) Windows based SLI Switching & 2) Windows based Bios upgrades. So far I haven't tried manual overclocking with it but the software that Asus packs with the board is great. I'm a gamer & I...

Awesome processor

Strengths: Runs Fast, Cools great, Overclocks like a dream

Weakness: None thats i've noticed

This Processor is amazing. It handles anything thrown at it with easily (including WOW and Cad) . Overclocked it runs way cooler then its competion (Intel p4). I highly suggest this Proceesor to anyone.

AMD Athlon 64 3500+ Processor

Strengths: Fast, Stable, Cool

Weakness: None noticed.

This is a fast processor that overclocks well, runs stable, and produces less heat than most processors. Its a bit pricey, but for what you get its worth it. I got the Venice core, the newest out. For the price, I'd suggest if you need a processor, buy this now, and if you don't have the budget, look for a slower version of this processor with the same Venice core, as it will run cooler and be...

AMD Athlon 64 3500+ Processor

Strengths: Good Overclocker. Stable, very stable! Less heat production than the other cores of same speed.

Weakness: Bit high of a price.

Great processor, good over clocking capabilities on stock HSF. 10% without a prob at the very least. Venice core is nice as it makes less heat than the other cores because of its 90nm process. Very stable chip even when overclocked. Love it. With 3+ yrs warranty, it'll be around a while, so Buy it now!

Awesome processor at a great price

Strengths: - super fast, great value (especially after recent price drop) - good gaming performance

Weakness: - ugly, bulky socket format and heatsink - poor instructions (picture only)

I upgraded to this CPU from an Athlon 1GHz and the difference is amazing. After the recent price drop, this is a good value CPU also, and gives you better performance than an Intel of similar value according to most benchmarks. Ultimately whether you want AMD or Intel seems to be a matter of personal preference, but this is simply a great CPU for most reasonable users. The only issues are the bad...

worth your money

Strengths: Fast! Heatsink compound already applied

Weakness: none that I've encountered

I would recommend sheling out 30 more dollars or so for this 3500+ rather than getting the 3200. It was nice and easy to install, especially with the square patch of heatsink compound on the bottom of the heatsink/fan. Although you have to use a bit of force to latch the heatsink/fan on. Windows xp loads fast

Excellent processor

Strengths: Heatsink and thermal pad/paste included for easy installation. Dual core upgrade options. Price. Can run Windows XP Pro 64-bit edition.

Weakness: None.

Processor performs great and installation was a breeze (this is the first computer I've built). I bought an AMD due to price, performance, and the ability to upgrade to dual-core or a FX processor without the need to change my motherboard. Very satisfied.

Great upgrade

Strengths: Speed, Stability, price vs. performance

Weakness: none so far

I bought this processor along with a new motherboard when my old one went out. I was moving up from an Athalon 1800+, and there was a very noticable performance increase, both in Windows 2000 applications (particularly load time), and in several games. This processor seemed to be right on the 'price/performance' point I was looking for -- any more power would have cost a lot more money....
