VS1GBKIT400 by Corsair, Review

Strengths: Fastest DDR Memory for the price, Lifetime warrenty, Excellent Quality, Runs very cool at default speeds

Weakness: No heat spreaders (only needed for overclocking)

When I went looking to upgrade my ram, I decided that Dual Channel was the way to go. I found that out of all the cheapest DDR400 (PC3200) RAM that the Corsair Value Select ram actually had the absolute best timing with 2.5 CAS and yet was still cheaper than Kingston CAS 3 Dual Channel. Hearing all the horror stories about people getting ram and finding out it was faulty, I decided to run some...

Corsair 1GB DDR SDRAM Memory Module

Strengths: Very good memory , Respected manufacturer name, Good price.

Weakness: None I have found.

I purchased this memory about 5 weeks ago and assembled my new computer 3 weeks ago. This was my first try at a total build ,so I'am certainly not an expert but the memory seems very good to me. I installed it in an Asus A7N8X-E board with an AMD XP 2800 processor. It is reading at the dual rate and all is working fine.

Corsair 1GB DDR SDRAM Memory Module

Strengths: Reliabilty.

Weakness: None.

Corsair makes very good memory. They tend to be more expensive than the no-name brands. It runs runs reliably at 400Mhz in Dual Channel mode on my Abit NF7-S Mobo. The kit I purchased was for 2 sticks of 512MB PC3200.

Corsair 1GB DDR SDRAM Memory Module

Strengths: Fast, reliable memory

Weakness: None

I bought 1Gb Corsair Value Select memory and was extremely pleased with it. From the minute I put it in I did not have any problem, memory was immediatly recognized by motherboard. I went on to order another kit to bump my total memory to 2Gb.

Corsair 1GB DDR SDRAM Memory Module

This twin bundle is listed at a good good price. Since it is sold as a bundle they are perfect for dual channel motherboards. The biggest downfall is that is doesn't have a built in heatsink.Good cheap ram, great for dual channel boards. Purchased from ZIPZOOMFLY and had no problems at all.
